Why Wecncode

University gives you the map. We hand you the industry skills.

Lectures teach you what a hash map is. We teach you what to do when production is on fire at 2am and your team is counting on you. Both matter — one of them gets you hired.

  • Learn by building

Every week ends with something shipped. No 300-slide lectures, no busywork — just projects that stack up into a portfolio.

  • Mentors, not lecturers

Your mentors work at real companies on real products. They've made the mistakes so you don't have to — and they'll tell you all about them.

  • A portfolio, not a PDF

Certificates are nice. A GitHub full of shipped work is better. You leave Wecncode with proof, not just paper.

Masterclass webinars

Big ideas, minus the headache.

Free online sessions where mentors take one intimidating concept and make it click — live demos, honest Q&A, zero fluff. Bring coffee. Leave smarter.

Student stories

Don't take our word for it.

  • “Before the Web Development bootcamp I could pass a programming unit but I couldn't build anything on my own. Now I've made a booking site for my cousin's salon and she actually uses it. For the first time I feel like I could do this for a living.”

Wanjiru Kamau2nd year, Mechatronics EngineeringWeb Development Bootcamp
  • “I had the theory from class but froze whenever someone asked what I'd built. After the AI bootcamp I have three projects on my GitHub and I can walk anyone through how each one works. I've stopped dreading that question.”

Brian Otieno3rd year, Computer ScienceArtificial Intelligence Bootcamp
  • “My final year project has months of sensor data and I had no idea what to do with it. Because of the Data Science bootcamp I could clean it and analyse it myself in Python. My supervisor asked who helped me with the analysis, and it was just me.”

Faith Chebet4th year, Electrical EngineeringData Science Bootcamp
  • “I used to think security was for geniuses. The Cybersecurity bootcamp took me from not knowing what a port was to finishing my first CTF with two classmates. It changed what I want to do after campus.”

Kevin Mwangi2nd year, Information TechnologyCybersecurity Bootcamp
  • “I always avoided machine learning because of the maths. After the bootcamp I built a model that predicts faults on a motor for a class project, and my lecturer asked me to present it to the rest of the class. I didn't see that coming.”

Mercy Achieng3rd year, Mechanical EngineeringMachine Learning Bootcamp
  • “In class we talk about risk all the time, but only on paper. In the Data Science bootcamp I built a model in Python that predicts which loans are likely to default, and suddenly my course made sense. It's the first thing I show anyone who asks what I can do.”

Dennis Kiprono1st year, Actuarial ScienceData Science Bootcamp

FAQ

Everything you'd ask at the booth.

Short answers, no fine print. Still curious? Scroll down and write to us.

Who can join a Wecncode bootcamp?

Any university student — any major, any year. Bootcamps are built around four levels: Foundation assumes zero experience, Core assumes you've written your first code, Intermediate assumes you can build small projects, and Advanced assumes you've shipped something before.

How long are the bootcamps?

Between 4 and 8 months depending on the level. Foundation bootcamps run 4 months, Core 5 months, Intermediate 6 months, and Advanced 8 months — designed to fit around your semester, not fight it.

How much time do I need each week?

Plan for 8–10 hours a week: two live evening sessions, one weekend build lab, and self-paced projects. Everything is recorded if exams take over your life for a week.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes — every completed bootcamp comes with a verified Wecncode certificate. But honestly, the portfolio of real projects you build matters more in interviews, and that's what we optimize for.

What are masterclasses and are they free?

Masterclasses are live online webinars where industry mentors simplify in-demand concepts — LLMs, cybersecurity careers, ML pipelines. They're free for all students, and recordings go to our community.

Ready when you are.

Pick a track, join a free masterclass, or bring Wecncode to your campus. Future you says thanks.
